MS 137 will be hosting its 8th Annual Career Day on Friday, May 12, 2017. Our goal is to provide our students with a better understanding of possible careers and acquaint them with the opportunities that lie within these fields. We look to convey to our students the importance of continuing education while giving insight about the steps needed to achieve these positions. We hope that you will be able to join us, or recommend someone that you feel would like to share their experience with our youth. Please download the Career Day form below, complete it and e-mail it back to Lbrunoavellino@schools.nyc.gov to participate. You will be contacted to confirm your participation and answer any questions that you might have. We look forward to our school community’s participation and hope that you will join us for a wonderful day.

Team Up Tuesday
Through Team Up Tuesday MS 137 students had the opportunity to socialize and take part in some physical fitness activities by playing kickball and basketball with our NYPD. NYPD officers came to MS 137 and took part in a kickball game with several sixth grade classes in our gymnasium. Our principal Laura Mastrogiovanni, assistant principals, physical education teachers, parent coordinator and students all participated and enjoyed the morning with our respected officers from the 106th precinct. We understand the importance of strengthening meaningful community relationships and look forward to future activities with our officers.
Please e-mail Ms. Bruno the Parent Coordinator @ Lbrunoavellino@schools.nyc.gov
If you are interested in attending to save your seat.

|News and Announcements
This Year all of our technology classes participated in the hour of Code! Over 300,00 lines of code were written by MS 137 Students this school year!
PUPIL PATH, is a student information system for parents and students. Pupil Path allows parents and students to view important student and school information such as student attendance records, class schedule, assignment due dates and grades, graduation eligibility, school announcements and more. This is a convenient tool for both parents and students to keep up with class work and student performance. In order to access the system both students and parents must be registered using a code given to them by the school. Access is available on a desk top, laptop, Ipad, tablet and smartphone. All you need is internet access. At present we have almost reached our goal of 100% for student registration and are trying to achieve the same goal for parents. In an effort to do so we have been running Parent Pupil Path Workshops where you can obtain the necessary codes and get assistance in the registration process.
